I have a great love for vintage signage, particularly that of old hotels and motels from the 50s and 60s. I've been taking photos of these signs for a few years now, and have amassed an ample collection. When the opportunity came to produce a twelve month 2009 calendar, I was excited to finally utilize my collection of images, and curate a collection that embodied what I consider to be the essence of this type of signage.

The design of this calendar favors graphic style over traditional functionality. Three-dimensional typographic constructions interact with the images in unique ways, giving the pages a sense of drama and flair.
